With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Tommy Gracie on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, in North York, Ont.
Born in Alder Point on Nov. 28, 1965, he was the son of Eileen Gracie and the late Harold Gracie.
Tommy is also survived by his son, Michael; sisters, Annette (Jim) Cameron, Dale Carr, Ontario, Dianne (Gerald) White, Truro, Carolyn (Earl) Burley, Mary (Alain) Caillouette, Frances Chase, Moncton, Tina (Michael) King, and Shirley (Greg) Deveaux, Alder Point; brothers, Wayne (Gloria), Blair (Wanda), Little Pond, Johnny (Chrissy), Sydney Mines, Martin (Theresa), Florence, Jimmy (Donna), Bras d'Or; brother-in-law, Keith Boutilier; sister-in-law, Debra Young and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Tommy was predeceased by brothers, Ewen and Billy; sister, Lorraine; brother-in-law, Dave and niece, Tammy.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass to celebrate his life will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Deacon Greg Murphy officiating.
