The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Monday December 24, 2012 of James Deagle of Miminegash aged 78 years. Husband of the late Mildred (McCormick) Deagle. James was born in Miminegash on November 4, 1934, the son of the late Myrl and Judith (Bernard) Deagle. Dear father to Nora (Brian) Bowness, Huntley; Bruce (Karen) Deagle, Ellerslie; Ruby (Terry) Edison, Summerside; Leonard (Marie), St. Lawrence; Diana (Alfred) Arsenault, Union Corner and Jenny (Dale) Harper, Norway and loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandfather. He is also survived by sisters Ida (Reggie) Gaudet, St. Edward, Annie Gaudet, Miminegash, Jean (Ray) Doucette, Summerside and brothers Benny (Catherine) Deagle and Leo (Yvonne) Deagle both of Miminegash and Wilfred Deagle, St. Louis. He was predeceased by his parents Myrl and Judith, wife Mildred, son Merril, daughter Lena, grandson BJ Bowness, brother Patrick, sister Mary and a sister-in-law Helen. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visitation Thursday afternoon from 1 - 2:30 p.m. for immediate family and close friends. Funeral will be held Thursday at The Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 3 p.m. Celebrant Rev. Jacques Rigaud.
Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Immaculate Conception Repair Fund would be greatly appreciated.
