VENO, Betty – passed away peacefully and courageously after a short period of illness on December 27, 2012 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born Betty Lee Hatfield in Argyle Head on February 3, 1944, Betty grew up and married in the Yarmouth area. In 1965 she moved to Ontario with her husband, Charles, and their young family. She lived in the Sudbury area, Toronto and Peterborough before returning to Yarmouth in 2010. Wherever her life took her, Betty left a legacy of love and kindness in her wake. Much beloved by Charles, her two boys and their children as well as her many extended family members and friends, Betty will always be remembered for her fun-loving attitude, her pragmatism and her monumental capacity for empathy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Thrift Store would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth.
