Adina Bailey

Passed on: December 26th, 2012

BAILEY, Adina L. - 1922 - 2012. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother on Boxing Day 2012. Adina (nan) was predeceased by husband James, mother and father Abrahm and Margret Dyck, siblings Alvin, Jake, Walter and son-in-law Clint Jorgenson. She is survived by daughters Darlene (Bob) Hilderman, Mona (Brian) Campbell; sons Tony (Gail) Bailey and Trent (Lynette) Bailey; and brothers Arnold and Harry (Frances) Dyck. She is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Nan enjoyed sports, good music, and visiting and socializing with friends and family. She and Dad spent all their married life in their little house along the Swift Current Creek. Nan was stricken with muscular dystrophy at age 55 and eventually was dependent on a wheel chair for her transportation. Daughter Mona is to be commended as she looked after nan’s needs while in the nursing home. A big thank you to the staff of the Swift Current Care Centre for the care of our “nan”. The Toronto Blue Jays will be missing one of their dearest fans, but maybe now she has a ring side seat. She will be dearly missed by people who shared her life. A service for nan will be held by her family in spring. She will be cremated and laid to rest beside James in the Veteran’s cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to the Swift Current Care Centre Auxillary or the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association.
