Edwina Morrison (nee Tattrie)

Edwina passed away December 23, 2012 after a battle with cancer.
Dale was born in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to William Edwin Tattrie and Beatrice Evelyn Tattrie (nee Ferguson) on August 6, 1946.
She attended Sydney Academy and the Cape Breton Business College. She served for a brief time in the RCAF, worked with the Teamsters Union in Halifax, then the Carpenter's Union in Ottawa, followed by a lengthy career with the Canadian Labour Congress during which she was a member of OPEIU 225. In retirement, she and her husband Frank owned and operated a local candy business in Ottawa. She enjoyed card games, baking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dale is predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Beatrice and brother Robert (June) of Kitchener.
She is survived by her husband Frank of Ottawa; daughters Tammy (Mark) Morrison, Wendy (Stephen) Lyon and Frances (Jeffery) Morrison of Ottawa; five grandchildren Ryan, Nicholas, Abigail, Katherine and Stephanie; as well as sisters Dianne (Wallace) Morrison of Halifax, Patrica Tattrie of Sydney, Linda (Allan) Smith of Sydney; and brothers William (Brenda) Tattrie of Sydney, and Walter (Wendy) Tattrie of Lower Sackville.
Per Dale's wishes, there will be no formal service of remembrance; however friends and family are encouraged to participate in an online tribute at www.Legacy.com and share any memories or photos with her family through RememberingDale@gmail.com.
