It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Alma Theresa Murphy. Mom, a gentle soul with a huge smile, was predeceased by her husband Hubert, sons Gerald and infant Robert, and grandson baby Gerald. Additional deceased include mom’s brothers Leonard and Brendan, and sisters Bernice, Anita, Barbara and Vera and special friend Bridget Bennett. Our mother will forever be missed by her four surviving children, Wayne, Clarence, Elizabeth and Brian; daughters-in-law Nancy, Gail, Theresa and Sharon; grandchildren Michael, Russell and his wife Tammy, Natelle, Steven, Nicholas, Stephanie, Meghan, Courtney, Lauren, Emily, and Sarah; and great grandchildren Lori, Austin and baby Alma Grace. She also leaves to mourn her sister Marlene, half-sister Blanche, very special friend and sister-in-law Rosemarie Murphy, devoted and loving cousin Betty Steele, very special caregiver Lucy Crawley, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Mom was a sweet and loving lady whose kindness and gentle ways will always be cherished in our hearts. Our mother will rest at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s and her celebration of life will take place at Holy Family Church, St. Thomas Line, Paradise.
