THOMPSON, LOUISE LENA - Louise Lena Thompson, 88, formerly of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on August 20, 1924 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Henrietta (Gauvin) MacArthur. She is survived by one son, Trent of Dawsonville; one sister, Ruth Anderson of Moncton, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Edward Thompson (1983); an infant son, Stewart; five sisters: Margaret Gauthier, Flora LeBlanc, Lillian Poirier, Doris McKenzie and Irene Wilson, as well as two brothers: James and Percy. Special thanks to the staff of Spencer Memorial Home for their excellent care, especially to Doreen who became a special friend to the family.
The family will receive condolences from 1 p.m. on Saturday January 5, 2013 at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the funeral centre.
