WHARTON, JAMES JOHN - James J. Wharton of St. Stephen, NB and formerly of Lower Hainesville, NB passed away January 2, 2013 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in 1934 at Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late James Sr. and Ruby (Allen) Wharton. James is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Jasper Wharton; seven sisters, Florence Goodine, Phyllis Hazlette, Ruby Orser, Mavis Williams, Edna Green, Yvonne Beaudet and Irene Stone.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Duncan Munn and Rev. Ed Guiggey officiating. Interment will be later at Lower Hainesville Cemetery.
