Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Dec 25, 2012. Mr. Noah Smith of Raleigh, NL, in his 85th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Baxter (Diane), Tony (Patsy), Manuel (Sheila), Welgia (Donna), Theophilus (Elizabeth), and Noah (Bernitt); daughters Renne, Joy (Emad), Dorcas (Terry), Julie (Kerry), Connie, and Melvia (Hughie); 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers Willis (Nellie), Tom (Hilda), Barton (Virtue); sister Viola (Abel); sister-in-law Joan as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by wife Laura, granddaughter Trudy, mother Drucila, father John, sister Elizabeth, brothers Jack, Felix and Jerry. Visitation was held at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Raleigh from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, with Rev. Diane Smith officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
