Passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, December 31, 2012, Wallace Raymond Butt of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 74 years. Wallace was the son of Cecil and Nellie V. Butt. Left to mourn, two sisters: Lorraine (Calvin deceased) Chaulk, St. John’s and Yvonne (Charles) Pelley, Kingston, ON; three brothers: Harold (Nina), Grand Falls-Windsor, Douglas (Yvonne), Norman’s Cove and Bruce, St. John’s; nieces: Melanie (Ian) McLeod, Paradise, Michelle (Brian) Newby, Toronto, ON, Christina (Shawn) Osmond, Grand Falls-Windsor, Heather (Cory) Kelly, Victoria, Susan (Glenn) Randell, Saskatoon, SK, Jennifer Pelley (Neil Robitaille), Ottawa, ON and Karen (Leo) Grepin, Roxbury, CT; nephews: Bruce (Elaine) Chaulk and Stephen (Michelle) Butt, both of St. John’s, David (Suzanne) Butt, Ottawa, ON and Andrew (Maya) Pelley, Toronto, ON; a number of grandnieces, grandnephews and also a number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole conducted the funeral service on Thursday, January 3 at the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Interment took place in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. Donations in his memory may be made to the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear or to a charity of one’s choice.
