FINN, DAVID - With great sadness the family announces the passing of David Ronald Finn, who passed at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, January 4, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 21, 1961 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Gerald and Lillian (MacDonald) Finn. In previous years David worked for Lantic Sugar before becoming an Electrician for Local 502. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. David’s life was his family, whom he adored and loved so much. He loved woodworking, fly-tying, country music; he was a history buff and a handy man on a continuous quest for knowledge. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Jane (Creamer) Finn; sons Ryan (Meaghan) and Patrick (Carmel) both of Saint John; daughter Katelyn at home; precious granddaughter Madeleine; brothers Robert (Shelly) and Russell (Linda); sisters Sharon (Barry) Soontiens, Connie (Don) MacDonald, Marilyn (Doug) Hampton, Debby (Richard) Quigley and Karen Loggie all of Saint John; several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Extra-Mural and the Palliative Care Unit for all their help and support.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday, January 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday January 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
