Age 92 years. Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Home on January 6, 2013 (on their wedding anniversary date) surrounded by his devoted family. Loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and Newfoundland step dancer. Predeceased by wife Vera (1995), son Rennie (2009), brothers Samuel and Gerald. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, son Barrie (Anne Marie); daughters: Joyce (Bud Jenkins), Jean (Fred Thompson, Truro, NS), June (Tolson Stockwood); daughter-in-law: Sylvia Gaulton; his eight beautiful grandchildren: Tina (Corey Chiasson), Trevor Gaulton, Michelle Jenkins, Mark Jenkins (Jennifer), Giselle (John Corcoran), Nicole (Michael McDonald), Jenesta (Todd Dove, Baker Lake, NU), Jenelle (Ronnie Donaldson, Kingston, NS); ten great-grandchildren: Luke and Lacey Chiasson, Nicholas Gaulton-Manning, Olivia McDonald, Taylor and Scott Dove, Parker and Tyler Donaldson, Sawyer and Jovi Jenkins. He also leaves to mourn, brother Bill; brother-in-law Hayward Howell (Pound Cove); sister-in-law Nerissa (Percey Winsor, Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay); sisters-in-law: Anita Gaulton, Stephenville, Hazel Gaulton, Fort McMurray; special care giving niece, Doris Barbour; life long friend Jacob Winsor, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue, with visitation on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Service to be held on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. James United Church, Elizabeth Avenue. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations kindly accepted to the Agnes Pratt Foundation or charity of one's choice. A very special thank you to the staff of the Agnes Pratt Home, especially Pratt Place, for all your tender loving care over the past 2 1/2 years.
