LANDRY, Mary Cecelia – 83, Sand Beach, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born January 17, 1929 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Peter and Frances M. (Deveau) Doucette. Cecelia worked at Dominion Textiles in Yarmouth for many years. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, J. Pius Landry; sisters, Dorothy Melvin, Kitchener, Ont., and Marion (James) Fitzgerald, Arcadia, as well as by a brother, Raymond (Shea) Doucette, Markham, Ont., and several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Hubbard; brothers, Gordon, Mel and Donald Doucette, as well as by a nephew. Visitation took place from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, with prayers at 8 p.m. Wednesday, both at the H. M. Huskilson Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 10 at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father John MacPherson officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
