With great sadness, we announce the passing of Michael William Head of Grande Cache, Alberta on January 8th, 2013 at the age of 71 years. Michael is survived by his loving wife Jeanetta of Grande Cache, Alberta as well as his son David Head of Grande Cache, Alberta, son Shawn Head (Mary Myers) of Carvel, Alberta and grandchildren Brandon Head (Genevieve McCarthy), Ryan Head and Shawna Head; his son Rodney (Darlene) Head of Grande Cache, Alberta, granddaughter Tamara Head (Stephen Howe) and great grandchildren Brieal Head, Brysen Head, granddaughter Tina Head and great grandson Wyatt Martin, grandson Rodney (Noelle Batten) Head and great grandchildren Jacob Head, Jett Head and Ivy Head. Also surviving are his brothers; Gerald (Phyllis) Head and family of St. Georges, NL, Roy (Bernice) Head and family of Kippens, NL and Pius (Jeanne) Hedd and family in Ontario. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Geraldine (Norman) Young and family of Corner Brook, NL, Marjorie (Aubrey) Way and family Corner Brook, NL, and his brothers-in-law Donald (Marina) Williams and family of Dartmouth, NS, Fredrick (Fronie) Williams and family of Fort McMurray, AB, Johnny (Roma) Williams and family of St. John’s, NL, and Derek Williams and family of Moncton, New Brunswick. There are numerous other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn. Michael was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Virtue Head as well as his step father Alfred Budden and siblings George, Gordon, Archibald, David. Also predeceased by his father-in-law John Williams, mother-in-law Christina Williams, and brother-in-law Gordon. Funeral services for Michael William Head took place on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Mountain Assembly in Grande Cache, Alberta with Pastor John Omale officiating. There was a viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cremation followed this service.
