Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at age 71 years of Brigus South. Predeceased by his wife Ellen (Marcotte 2006), infant son Ricky (1972), parents Mary & Robert Hawkins, sister Regina Dowden, brothers Harold and Peter and brothers-in-law Louie Marcotte, Kevin Dowden and Bob Ettleman. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are his two sons Wayne (Joanne & Clarke) & Tony both of Wabush; loving partner & best friend Doreen Coady, her two children Stephen & Leona and her five grandchildren, Bradely, Matthew, Daniel, Josh & Emma; brother Don & six sisters Marlene Ettlemen, Matilda Mayse, Anita Armstrong (Louie), Trixie Sullivan (Raymond), Mercedes Tobin (Bren) and Mildred Reeves (George); brother in law Mike Marcotte (Maureen); sisters-in-law Dorothy Hawkins, Mary Hawkins and Bernadette Marcotte and a large circle of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls, on Sunday, January 13th, from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., and Monday, January 14th, from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle on Tuesday, January 15th at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to the charity of one’s choice.
