Passed peacefully away at his home in Flatrock on Monday, January 14, 2013, Kevin W. Butt, age 65 years. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Hilda Butt, brothers John, Stanley and Roy (age 3 months); sister Phyllis. Leaving to mourn wife Paulette; son Geoffrey (Carla); daughter Stephanie (Terry), beloved grandson Jack; sister Marie; sisters-in-law Martha Carroll, Edith Whitty and Loretta Butt; also many nieces, nephews cousins, two aunts Ella Cook and Anne Laite (Maryland), uncle Roland Miller. Kevin served on Flatrock Council as Deputy Mayor from 2005-2008 and became Mayor in 2008. He was a member of Avalon East Hockey League as well as on the Board of Directors for Jack Byrne Arena. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, TORBAY. Visitation on Tuesday from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael’s Church, Flatrock. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to the Flatrock Community Centre.
