The family of Ernest Arguin is saddened to announce the passing of their Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle on January 13, 2013. Ernie was born on July 14, 1930 to Henri and Frieda Arguin in Coderre, Saskatchewan. He lived and worked in the Courval region his entire life. Ernie's greatest joy was farming, and whether it was as a cattle rancher or grain farmer, he worked tirelessly and took great pride in running a successful farm, and all the achievements his hard work produced. When he was not busy farming, Ernie could be found fishing, hunting, or trapping. Whether he was at work or at play, Ernie always loved nature and appreciated all the beauty he found himself surrounded by while he was a part of the great outdoors. Ernie is predeceased by his father Henri, his mother Frieda, and his wife Laurette. He is lovingly remembered by his six children: Douglas (Anne) Arguin of Saskatoon, Adrian (Lorraine) Arguin of Courval, Sherry Arguin of Moose Jaw, Barry (Celine) Arguin of Moose Jaw, Carla (Louis) Carrobourg of Gravelbourg, and Tania (David) Kanz of Moose Jaw, along with 17 wonderful grandchildren, and one beautiful great-granddaughter. He is also remembered by his siblings Violet Kitts, Charles Arguin and Lorraine Huel. A Prayer Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Friday January 18, 2013 at 7:00 pm. Private memorialization and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Ernie's family asks that donations to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8, be made in his name. In living memory of Ernie, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
