MARCELLO BRUNO

Born In: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Born: April 4th, 1977

Passed on: January 11th, 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marcello Bruno on January 11, 2013 at 35 years of age.

Marcello is survived by the light of his life and best buddy, his son Reegan, his father Egidio (Ada), sister Franca Vasil (Dave), brother John, nephew Dustin, niece Tatianna, his wife of 12 years, Luana, and many relatives and friends.

Marcello was predeceased by his beloved mother Carmela Bruno in 1999.

Marcello was born on April 4, 1977 in Kamloops. He attended Lloyd George Elementary, John Peterson Junior Secondary and then graduated from Kamloops Secondary School. He then moved on to complete his C.A.S.T. Diploma at UCC, which enabled him to start his career at BCLC in 1998. Throughout his career at BCLC, he was known as a kind, gentle man and a dedicated employee. He developed many important friendships at BCLC, especially "the crew."

Marcello's memorable past times, besides spending time with his loving family and friends, included his truck that he loved and kept in immaculate condition, loved road hockey, dirt biking, fishing, tinkering on computers, and especially music, having taught himself to play the drums. As a teen, he was in a band, "The Shoebox Coupons," and he continued to play drums throughout his life, and was recently taking guitar lessons.

He always had a passion for learning, and was always striving for success. He was always willing to lend a hand to help others. We will always remember his beautiful, cheerful smile.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the many friends and family who have offered condolences at this very difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated, or volunteer time in your community as Marcello enjoyed doing.

The family thanks everybody from the bottom of our hearts for the care, love and respect shown to Marcello. A special thanks to the Provincial Ambulance Team, the first responders, and a very special thanks to Sam who went above and beyond the call of duty.

Marcello you will be forever loved and held dear in our hearts.
We will miss you.

Prayers will be recited on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Reverend Father Paul Simms will celebrate the Funeral Mass in the Cathedral on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Entombment will follow at Sage Valley Mausoleum, Hillside Cemetery.

Condolences may be expressed at www.schoeningfuneralservice.com.

Service arrangements are entrusted to Schoening Funeral Service, 250-374-1454.
