Born to Harry Taylor Malcolm & Caroline Thompson, dad was raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta. He worked his way west through the Alberta Coal branch. He worked on many jobs throughout BC, such as the Trans Canada Highway through the Rogers Pass and Mica Dam. He worked for Hulburd Crane which later became Sterling Crane, and then started his own company with Ken Highland called-M&K Demolition. Dad did numerous jobs throughout the Kamloops area and BC, some of which were for the City of Kamloops and Ducks Unlimited. Dad worked well into his 80's before he finally retired for the last time.
Dad looked forward to a good game of cards with his friends and family, and his favourite being Low Ball poker. He enjoyed many days of fishing, hunting and spending quality time with his family. He loved every moment he could have with his grandsons and great grandchildren. He loved to teach them how to throw rocks into the slough.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at the Hamlets in Westsyde, where dad resided for the past 3 years, for their kindness and love that was extended not only to our father, but to us his family.
