With great sadness we announce the passing of a great man on January 16, 2013 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay on February 21, 1938, Vincent was the eldest son of Vincent and Theresa Strojsa.
He will be missed by his daughter Angela (Collin) Herbers, Sherwood Park, Alberta; sons Shane, Glace Bay and Travis, Manitoba .He was an amazing grandfather to Tylor, Zachary, Elliott and his favorite granddaughter Madeline. Also surviving are siblings Steve and sister Frances McIsaac, both residing in Ontario.
He was predeceased by his wife Lynda (Read); his parents Vincent & Theresa; as well as sisters Helen Simpson and Mary Burke.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay. In honor of Vince’s wishes ,there will be no visitation or service. Reception will be held at Patten Funeral Home on Saturday January 19, from 10 a.m.-12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Society Sydney.
