Annie (Nicholson) Morin (1915-2013) passed away in Kingston, Ont. on Jan. 8, 2013. She was the eldest daughter of Daniel Joseph and Christina (McInnis) Nicholson of McKay’s Corner, Glace Bay.
During her long life despite losing two husbands (the first Elias Smith of Reserve, in the Second World War), and her three daughters, she never lost her ready smile and quick wit.

Following Walter’s death Annie took a job at Canadian Tire in Ottawa where she worked until company policy prohibited working after the age of 80. Annie then volunteered at the Grace Maternity Hospital on the information desk. She was well loved by visitors and staff alike and worked there until the hospital closed in 1999 when she was 84.
Besides her parents Annie was predeceased by husbands, Elias Smith and Walter Morin; her three daughters, Ruth, Ruby and Caroline; grandchildren, Diane and Joanne; sister, Mae, Toronto; brothers, Jimmie, Reserve Mines, Harold and Arthur, Toronto, Roddie, Ajax, Ont., Dan, Georgetown, Ont. and seven nieces and nephews.
