HUNTINGTON, WINIFRED ELIZABETH - 1921 - 2013 - Winifred Elizabeth (Macnaughton) Huntington went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 21, 2013, at the Moncton Hospital. Born March 2, 1921, in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was the daughter of David and Helen (Anderson) Macnaughton. She served in the Royal Air Force during which time she met and married her husband, Edward Huntington on February 14, 1944 in Edinburgh. They came to Canada in 1946. Mim was a long-time member of the Moncton Gospel Hall. Winifred will be missed by her daughter, Yvonne, Riverview; sons Lee (Nicole) and Chris (Louise) of Moncton; grandson Craig (Nancy) LeBlanc, Riverview; grandson Andrew (Maritta) Huntington; grand-daughters Jessica (Jonathan) Hiltz, Wilmot, NS and Veronica (Brent) Trueman, Moncton; great-granddaughters Alexandria and Nicole LeBlanc, Riverview and great-grandson Chase Trueman, Moncton. She is also survived by her nieces Doreen Smith and Anne Crain, Halifax, England; Elaine (Tom) Bomford, Comrie, Scotland; nephews David (Jean) Crain, Livingston, Scotland and Douglas Macnaughton, England, great nieces Pamela, Susan and Karen and great nephew Keith, as well as her brother-in-law Donald (Betty) Huntington, Bedford, NS; sisters-in-law Pansy (Late Lester) Flowers, New Carlisle, QC; Geraldine (late George) Smith, Etobicoke, ON; Carol (Francis) Mullin, Kitchener, ON; Bertha (Gerald) Mattis, Hillier, ON; Mary (late Aubrey) Huntington, Winnipeg, MB; and Lillian (late Leighton) Huntington, Ottawa, ON. She is also survived by her former son-in-law Vernon (Simone) LeBlanc, Saulnierville, NS. In addition to her husband Edward, and her parents, Winifred was predeceased by her brother David and his wife May Macnaughton, her sister Helen and her husband Jim Crain, sisters-in-law Alva Huntington and Elzada Jones, brother-in-law Ralph Huntington and her mother and father -in-law Lucy and Hilam Huntington.
Visitation will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
