Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Tuesday, January 22nd 2013, Anastasia (Annie) Devereaux, aged 89 years. A wonderful mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend. She is predeceased by her husband, James (1974). She was the last surviving member of the family of Martin Hickey and Anastasia (nee Dyer). She will be forever remembered and sadly missed by her four daughters: Diane (Cyril Doyle), Theresa (Shawn Clarke), Maureen (Nath Sheppard) and Carolyn (Craig Butler); two cherished grandchildren: Colin and Curtis Doyle; sisters-in- law: Mena Devereaux and Bernice Hickey; special nephews and nieces, especially Kim O’Neill, Grand Falls, and her long-time friends: Mena Power and Mary Roche. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove on Friday, January 25th, 2013 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery Fund or the St. Patrick's Mercy Home Foundation.
