1954 – 2013
The death of Bruce Wylie Leard, 58, of Timber River, occurred unexpectedly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Born on Prince Edward Island, Bruce was a son of the late Wylie and Carmen (Trenholm) Leard.
Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoyed country music and especially Stompin' Tom Connors.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 36 years, Sandra (nee Goodwin) of Timber River; a daughter Gail (Nelson Legere) Leard, of Haute-Aboujagane; one brother, Kevin Leard, of Bayfield, as well as two sisters, Joyce (Evan) Van Pelt of Cape Pele and Doris Robinson of Melrose and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bruce was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Trenholm.
Bruce's arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, (364-1300). At the request of the family, there is to be no visitation. A funeral service was held from the funeral home on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Westcock Cemetery in the Spring.
Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to a charity of one's choice.
