Judi Burtnick
Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on January 23, 2013. Judy at the age of 43, loving mother of Lowell and Katie Burtnick, cherished daughter of Laura Westfall. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Nickie Haidt (Barry), nieces Brittany and Brooklynn, nephew Kyle Haidt and by her uncle Bob Tipple (Monica) and cousins Amanda, Scott and Kristine. Judy was predeceased by her father Bob Westfall, (1993), grandparents Jim and Sophie Tipple, and father in-law Reg Burtnick. She will be particularly missed by her best friend Rob Thronberg. Judy was born in Swift Current SK, to Bob and Laura Westfall on January 23, 1970. She grew up in Shaunavon and Outlook but mostly in Moose Jaw where she attended Prince Arthur and Peacock Schools. Following high school, she attended the Wascana College in Regina where she earned a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate in 1990. Following her graduation she was married and began raising her children in the Moose Jaw area. Judy took a lot of pleasure in the simple things in life. She loved and cared for her home and garden, and enjoyed spending time with good friends. She approached her work with passion, particularly at Providence Place where many good friendships were forged with co-workers. Most of all, Judy lived for her children, and her nieces and nephew were treated as her own. She was an inspiration to all whom were touched by her life. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St W, Moose Jaw, on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Saskatchewan Division, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
