Passed away suddenly on January 26, 2013 at his home in Bay Bulls, originally from Guysborough Co., Nova Scotia. Retiree of Labatt. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Minnie Bond, brothers Arnie, Wesley, Don and sisters Marguerite and Marie. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Karen (Ronayne), his sons David (Melissa) and Robert, daughter Carolyn (Bob Rowe) and stepchildren Jeffrey and Kimberley Vokey (Chris Crowley) as well as his two loving granddaughters Hannah and Sophia. Also leaving to mourn his brothers Garland, Gerald, Gordon, Percy, Garfield and Lloyd and sisters Helen, Verna, Bernice, Rita and Eileen, all residing in Nova Scotia. Also leaving to cherish his wonderful memory are his in-laws Harold and Catherine Ronayne as well as special brother-in-law and devoted friend Harold (Eleanor), Cathy (Alfred Condon), Marlene (Chris Walsh), Maria (Albert Meadus), Paul (Phyllis), Stephen (Wanda), Deanne (Rick Dunphy) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Monday, January 28th, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, January 29th at 11:00 a.m. from Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Tors Cove. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mt. Loretta R. C. Cemetery, Bay Bulls. No flowers by request but donations may be made to the Lung Association.
