SURETTE, M. Jeanette – 91, formerly of Lower Eel Brook, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2013 at Bay Side Nursing Home, Brass Hill. Born August 2, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Annie (Bourque) Surette. Jeanette had a great love for music. She was very active in church groups and was a faithful member of Saint Anne’s Parish in Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau. She is survived by her loving daughter, Joanne M. Surette Muise (Louis Muise), Gavelton; sister, Frances Gaudet, Ontario; step grandson, Morgan Muise; step great granddaughter, Naomi Hurlburt. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Casimir; siblings, Jerry, Mildred Elmer, Estelle, Lillian, Roger, Elie, Edward, Edmond and Blanche. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilsons Funeral Homes Ltd., 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, January 27, with prayers at 8:30 p.m. A funeral mass was held at 2 p.m. Monday in Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc and Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. An interment wasl held following the service in the parish cemetery.
