ROBINSON - William Robinson: April 24, 1920 - January 20, 2013. Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep, with family at his side at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. He is survived by Maureen, his loving wife of 62 years; son Don Robinson, his wife Ihla and family Craig and Karla Robinson and their children Ethan and Austin, Shawn and Alison Robinson and their children Avery, Josie and Britta, Byron Robinson; daughter Winona Wall and her husband Bill and family Trystan Wall, Ryan and Loredana Wall and Adam Wall; son Bruce Robinson, his wife Lori and their family Trent, Brett and Leah; son Ray Robinson, his wife Sam and their family Chris, Scott and Lindsay; son Reg Robinson, his wife Sheri-Dawn and their family Ross and Lucas. Dad was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Edith Robinson, his brother Jim Robinson and his sister Alice Allan. He is survived by his sister Doris. Dad was born and raised in the Neville area until his retirement in 1988. He was married to Maureen Shannon on April 8, 1950. Dad and Mom moved to Swift Current and lived in their home until 2009, when they moved to Riverview Village Estates. He took great pride in his family, his farming and his community. He also enjoyed meeting his many friends for coffee and discussing the latest topics of the day. The family wishes to thank the nursing and medical team at the Cypress Regional Hospital for the wonderful care they provided during dad's time there. We would also like to thank the staff at Riverview Village Estates for the kindness, compassion and efforts over these past months. A celebration of dad's life was held at Riverview Village Estates on Thursday, January 24 at 2:00 PM with Marvin Allan leading the service.
