BERNARD NEIL WILLIAMS

Bernie passed away peacefully in Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, surrounded by his family. Bernie was born in Vancouver and grew up in Burnaby.

Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Vera, his children Rick (Luci), Cheri (John), Gord (Lori), Leslie (Craig), fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Bernie was predeceased by his three brothers Earl, Alvin and Gord and his granddaughter Danielle.

Bernie served in R.C.A.F. from 1942-1946.

He loved watching and played many sports. He was the goalie for the New Westminster Royals soccer team. He coached girls softball in New Westminster and had Five B.C. Championships. He also coached boys baseball in Delta for many years and had the first Canadian Colt team to play in the World Series Championship in Riverside, California in 1968. His two favourite sports teams were the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Bernie was a member of the I.W.A. for 38 years and retired in 1985. He moved to Logan Lake in 1990 and enjoyed years of camping and fishing with his wife, friends and family.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to neighbours and friends who have offered condolences and helped at this very difficult time.

Bernie you will be forever loved
and held dear in our hearts
We will miss you.
