Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex, St. John’s, in the presence of her loving family and after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, Georgina (Georgie) Mitchell (nee Ralph) of Grand Bank, age 85 years. Predeceased by parents: Captain John and Sylvia Ann Ralph; brothers: John, Frank and Reuben. Leaving to mourn: husband Eugene of 65 years; daughter Evelyn (Wallace Clancey); son David; grandchildren: Vanessa and Lisa; great-grandson Christopher; brother Arthur (Fronie), sister Mae (Leonard Myles); sister-in-law Lilian. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Monday from 7-9 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Grand Bank United Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 31 with interment to follow at the Grand Bank United Church Cemetery. Special words of appreciation to the caring staff at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex. Donations in her memory may be made  to the Grand Bank United Church Cemetery Fund.
