Drysdale, Lewis Joseph - 85, of Wolfville (Resident of Grand View Manor); passed away on Sunday January 27, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in South Maitland; he was a son of the late Hubert and Mary (Daigle). Lewis worked for many years in the Postal Service in Halifax. Prior to that he had a variety of jobs in the Annapolis Valley. He is survived by his wife Bertha (Brown); sons Sanford (Anita), Mississauga, ON; Gary (Julie) McMullin, New Minas; Michael (Nancy) McMullin, Wallbrook; Randy McMullin, Kentville; Michael Drysdale, Halifax; daughters Joyce (Carl) Knox, Dartmouth; Patricia (Eric) Brown, Canning; Donna (David) Thompson, Wilmot; Sylvia Hudson, Hantsport; Linda (Wayne) Isnor, New Minas; Paulette (Rufus) Rockwell, Cambridge; Brenda (Gaetan Brisson) McMullin, New Minas; Pamela (Alan) Wagner, Berwick; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Vincent, Bible Hill; sister Irene Langille, Truro; and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Lewis is predeceased by his daughter Esther (Bigney) Connors; son-in-law Lee Hudson; brothers Amos; Otis; Edward; Stephen; Nicholas; Raymond; Effern; Frank; sisters Katherine; Clare; and Bertha. Visitation was held in the Serenity (H.C. Lindsay) Funeral Home, Main Street, Wolfville on Wednesday, January 30th from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service followed by reception took place at the New Hope Wesleyan Church, 7054 Highway #12, Kentville on Thursday, January 31st at 2:00 p.m.; with Reverend Scott Prime and Reverend Barbara Cochrane officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home and Serenity Crematorium. Donations in Lewis' memory may be made to the New Hope Wesleyan Church Building Fund.
