Griff passed away peacefully on January 25, 2013 at 10:15 p.m. at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice.

It was an honour to have been loved by you, been taught by you. It was also an honour to have loved you, and to have been there when you took your last breath.

Griff is survived by his loving wife Susan Griffiths (nee Hales) and his older brother John Griffiths of Prince George, daughters Sherralynne Cleland of Vancouver Island, Karen Arnason of Burnaby and his niece Lennie Engalage of Richmond.
