Fields, Glenn Ernest, 76, Londonderry, Col. Co., NS., passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Londonderry Station, he was a son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (McCully) Fields. Glenn was a mechanic having worked for Wilson Equipment, Truro, and formerly for Vince Weatherby BA Station, Truro. He also owned and operated Glenn’s Mobile Repairs. He was a member of the Great Village Fire Brigade, Great Village.
He is survived by his wife the former Audrey MacAloney; sons, Trent of North River, Kevin of Great Village, Dana of St. Stephen’s, NB, Brian at home; grandsons, Jason, Bradley, Ryan; sister Mrs. Joyce Webber of Scarborough, ON; step-brother Stephen and a step-sister Christine, both of Dartmouth.
He was predeceased by a sister in infancy.
Visitation will take place from 12 pm until funeral service time at 1 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 5th in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Rev. Sharron Reykdal will officiate with burial at a later date in Mahon Cemetery, Great Village. Donations in Glenn’s memory may be made to the Londonderry Station Community Church, Londonderry.
