TRURO – Eileen Eleanor Meikle, 94 of Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, formerly of Stellarton, passed away January 24, 2013 at Cedarstone.
Born in Waldgrove, Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Minnie (MacKay) Kennedy.
She was a resident of Stellarton all her married life where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Ladies Guild.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Drew Meikle, Lauralee Meikle and Tracey Freda Leverie.
She was predeceased by her husband James Edward “Eddie” Meikle; a daughter Brenda; a son James; a great-grandchild James Meikle; five sisters and three brothers.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton, will be announced at a later date.
