Lila MacLean

Lila Roseann MacLean, 85, Dufferin Street, Westville, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her loving family after a courageous and valiant struggle against cancer.
Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Chapman) Weatherbie.
Lila was a strong and faithful member of The Church of The Holy Name, Westville.
A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by her daughter, Judy, Riverton; sons: Art (Lynn), New Glasgow; John (Aleatha), Stellarton; Frank, Halifax; grandchildren: John MacLean, Westville; Tasha MacDonald, Westville; Angela Perry, Trenton and great-grand children: Hunter, Makayla, Sylvie-Gray, Willow, Dylan, Emily and Isabella. She is also survived by her sisters: Muriel Langille, Westville; Gloria MacNeil, Dartmouth; Lois Gerrior (Clarence), Trenton and brother, George Weatherbie (Dorothy), Westville.
She was predeceased by her husband, David Arthur “Buck” MacLean; sisters: Bernetta Porter, Frances Carrigan, Mildred Weatherbie, Ethel Mae Whitty, Viola Ransome, Angelina Murphy and Veronica in infancy and brothers, Frank “Bubs”, Anthony, John and Garfield Weatherbie.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday from The Church of The Holy Name, Westville with Father Gerald Campbell officiating assisted by Father Donald Boudreau. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Church of The Holy Name or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
