Whynot, Mervin Douglas – 82, of Milton Queen's County; passed away peacefully in Queen's General Hospital on January 28th, 2013.
Born in Liverpool on July 3rd, 1930 Mervin was the son of the late Joseph and Nora (Whynot) Whynot. He was a carpenter most of his life with his last job being with C.E. Ingram Construction Ltd. until he retired. Mervin enjoyed being with his family, especially the Sunday family get togethers, hunting, watching the Toronto Blue Jays and western movies and his two beloved cats “Ginger” and “Coco”. He is survived by his wife Hazel (Wolfe) at home, son Phillip, Milton; daughters Christine (Larry McCoombs), Maxine (Billy Joudrey), both of Milton; and Janet Andrews (Terry Himmelman), Liverpool. grandchildren Amanda McCoombs, Milton; Jennifer Whynot, Bridgewater; Joseph and Megan Joudrey, of Milton; great grandchildren Isabelle and Isaac Whynot, Bridgewater; brother Arnold Liverpool; and sisters Eleanor Milton and Lorretta, Liverpool. Mervin was predeceased by brothers Cyril, Vincent, Reid, Dennis, and sister Joyce. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home & Serenity Crematorium, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family or to the Queen's SPCA.
