Rachel (Peg) Moriah Hunt (nee Pittman)

It is with great sadness and wonderful memories that the family of Rachel (Peg) Moriah Hunt (nee Pittman) announce her peaceful passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point, NL, on February 2, 2013, at the age of 83 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her four sons: George (Joyce) of Labrador City, NL, Robin (Sharon) of Calgary, AB, Ron (Divina) of Grand Cayman, B.W. Indies, and Steve (Kathy) of Moncton, NB; grandchildren: Gavin, Garrett (Ashley), Lisa, David (Holly), Bradley, Bronson, Lauren, and Jillian; great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Rachel, Jaron, and Declan; brothers: Harvey Mudge, Roland (Rita) Pittman, and Woodrow Pittman; brother-in-law and niece, Stephen & Hughena Hunt; and sister-in-law, Jonie Pittman. Rachel was predeceased by her loving husband of more than 50 years, James (Ned) Edward Hunt; parents, Frank & Susan Pittman; brothers: Felix (Rita) Pittman and Stephen Pittman; and sisters-in-law: Emma Mudge, Ivy Mudge, Mary Pittman, Laura Pittman, and Rita Pittman. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and countless friends. The funeral service took place on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 and Canon, Louise Richards, officiated; burial followed at the family plot in the church cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or to The Church of the Good Shepherd Building Fund in Rachel’s memory would be graciously appreciated.
