Effie Audrey Janet (Patey) Clarke

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Mom on
February 4 at Vimy Court Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

Mom fought a courageous battle with her rare degenerative brain illness, showing
her strong will and lovable personality until the end. Thankfully we can say she is now
at peace.

Leaving behind to mourn are her four children Karen (Mitchell), Austin (Florence),
Rosalie (Brian), Madonna (Philip) as well as her 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, Nanny adored her grand babies.

Also left behind to mourn are her two brothers Austin (Bernice), Chris (Joan) and three sisters Carol Noel (Richard), Donna (John) and Diane (Joe).

She was predeceased by her twin daughters Lorraine and Elaine, her mother Emily and father Archibald, sister Lorraine, brother in law Ralph and sister in law Sheila.

As in life, Mom was always giving to others, as per her wishes her body will be donated to Dalhousie University Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology to further medical education and research.

On behalf of the family we would like to thank Dr. Stephen Ellis, Dr. Kenneth Rockwood and the wonderful and caring staff at Vimy Court and Townsview Estate.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Mount Patricia Cemetery, Corner Brook, Newfoundland, there she will rest peacefully with her family.
