Frank Joseph Keddy - 84, of Kentville, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Forest Home, Kings County, he was a son of the late Ambrose and Margaret (Arenburg) Keddy. He had been employed with Standard Paving for many years, from where he retired. He was an ox enthusiast, attending exhibitions, making and selling ox whips and participating in many ox pulls. He was an adherent of St. James Anglican Church, Aaldersville. Frank had a great sense of humour, enjoyed carrying on, playing cards and especially enjoyed playing bingo. He is survived by his partner, Thelma (Pulsifer) Gillis; children, Brian (Shirley), Cambridge; Cathy (Charlie), Kentville and Kevin, Kentville; their mother, Violet (Wile) Keddy, Kentville; four sisters, Hattie Spencer, Windsor; Rita Llewellyn, Mary Pemberton and Leona Feener, all of New Minas; five grandchildren, Debbie, Jason, Jeffrey, Melissa and Felecia; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters, Frances, Violet, Margaret and Alice; six brothers, Melbourne, Harry, James, Robert, Cecil and Oliver (in infancy). The will be no visitation by family request. The funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A private family burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
