Florence Louise Barrett, a resident of Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.
Born in Wabana, N.L., she was a daughter of the late Adam and Louisa (Rolfe) Head.
Surviving are her daughters, Madeline Bishop, Sydney, Judy MacKay, Sydney, Brenda (Tom) Pittman, Sydney, Gail (Donnie) Barrett, Sydney, Ruth (Kenny) Ranni, Dartmouth, and Laura (Harvey) Pennell, Moncton, N.B.; son, Terry ‘Butch’ (Carolann), Corner Brook, N.L.; sister, Greta Head, Sydney; brothers, Walter (Gladys), Bill (Tina), Melvin and Carl, all of Sydney; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Florence was predeceased by her husband, Chesley, son, Marvin, sisters, Lillian Poirier, Nancy Jackson and Mary Rowe, brothers, Ralph, Clyde and Earl.
There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date, with interment in Eastmount Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Mira Bay Unit at Harbourstone Enhanced Care for the excellent care and compassion shown to our mother during her stay there.
