It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Garrison MacLean on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility.
Lillian was born in Halifax on Aug. 4, 1918, the only child of Lt. Colonel James D. and Avernia Monaghan.
Lillian’s husband, Hector John MacLean predeceased her Jan. 13, 2013.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Church and was very active in the UCW and the hospital auxiliary.
We wish to thank Dr. Murdock Smith, the VON nurses, and Harbourstone Enhanced Care for their support and kindness to Lillian.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Monday Feb. 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Interment for Lillian and Hector will be held at later date.
