SLATTER (Cochrane), Shirley Patricia - 83, passed away in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth on February 6, 2013. Born in Sweets Corner, Hants Co., on March 17, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Maude Cochrane. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald; son, Michael (Dorothy) and daughter, Lori; sister, Judy (Grant Maxwell); and many nephews and nieces. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Glenna and Mona; brothers, Arnold, Reg, Chester and Harold. Shirley completed her schooling in Windsor, including a business course. She was then employed at Dominion Stores Head Office in Halifax until 1961. After spending several years raising her family she completed her CNA nursing course and was employed at Dykeland Lodge in Windsor, where she worked until her retirement in 1990. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Windsor Elms Village. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, in Ste. Croix United Church, St. Croix, Rev. Wendy Kean officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Ste.
