Passed peacefully away on February 8th, 2013 in the presence of her loving family at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex, Alice Dyke of St. John’s, aged 86 years. Predeceased by husband Walter (1995); parents: James and Jessie Baird; her brothers: Leo (Anne), Jim, John (Bernadette), and Edward (Mary); brothers-in-law: Patrick Kennedy and Augustus Curtis; and nephew John Baird Jr. Leaving to mourn sisters: Joan Curtis and Vera Kennedy; sisters-in-law: Phyllis Baird and Linda Baird; sons: John (Jeanette), Bob (Heather), Wally (Theresa), Jim (Suzanne); and daughter Beverly (Roger); grandchildren: Adam, Alyson, Andrew, Brad, Jeff, Jennifer, Mark, Phillip, Sarah, Sean, Stephane and Stephen; great-grandchildren: Charlize, Katelyn, Pearson and Rochelle. Also, a large circle of nieces and nephews, friends on Southside Road, Catholic Women’s League, the Knights of Columbus and Hillcrest Estates. Special thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre 5SB, Bernadita and staff at the Hoyle’s Home for their caring support. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road Sunday 7-9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church, Patrick’s Street. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations to St. Patrick’s Church Heritage Foundation.
