Gordon Anderson MacDonald
At the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Friday, February 8, 2013, of Gordon Anderson MacDonald, O'Leary, formerly of West Point, aged 85, husband of the late Joan Deighan.
Born in West Point April 15, 1927, son of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Bulger) MacDonald. Dear father to Dean (Anna), Summerside; Danny (Karen), Ottawa; Mary (Wayne) Clark, Charlottetown; Joseph, Charlottetown; Jerome (Andrea), Fredericton. Loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren. Gordon is also survived by brothers and sisters: Tryphosa Carruthers, O'Leary; Linwood (Audrey) MacDonald, West Point; Geraldine (Mel) Sampson, Sydney, N.S.; Gertrude Gay, Ottawa; Lorraine (Leroy) Glenn, Tatamagouche, N.S.; Tanya (Michael) DesRoches, Summerside; and sister-in-law, Thelma MacDonald, O'Leary.
Predeceased by his parents; wife, Joan (1996); son, David (1999); sister, Daisy (Harry) Young; brother, Owen MacDonald; brothers-in-law, Gordon Gay and Allison Carruthers.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday, February 12, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday, February 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at a later date in the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Glenwood.
