LOCKHART, Richard Allison "Al" - 47, Truro. It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of our son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend on
Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at home. Born May 18, 1965, in Truro, he was
the youngest son of Edwin and Joan (Aitchison) Lockhart; brother to Michael
(Cyndi), Pamela (Michael) Gilroy and Jennifer (Gary) Wallace. Growing up, Al
played football for Truro Blue Bombers, Truro Bears and CEC Cougars. Al
graduated from CEC in 1983 and attended the Agricultural College in Bible
Hill. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing volleyball and swims
at Kings Head, Pictou County. Al has many aunts, uncles, cousins and
neighbours who will miss him dearly. He will be sadly missed by his nephews,
Christopher, Andrew (Jessica), Jeffrey, Shaun; nieces, Stephanie (Avery),
Laura, Jillian; grand nephews, Patrick, Derik, Mason. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall - Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where
the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013,
Reverend Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Spring interment in Scotsburn,
Pictou County. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Al's memory
