After 12 days surrounded by prayers, laughter, tears, kisses and reminiscing, we sadly announce the passing of our loving mother, Marjorie Dolena (MacIsaac) Haley at the age of 88. She passed away in the early hours of Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at MacGillivrary Guest Home in Sydney, where she had resided for the past five years.
Born in Inverness, she was the daughter of the late John Archie and Mary Ann (Deagle) MacIsaac.

She is survived by daughters, Ann (Keith) Musgrave, Whycocomagh, and their children Tom, Jeffery and Lisa (Jason) Fugleberg; Eileen (Sam) Applin, Antigonish, and their children Heather (Ryan) Hanley and Aaron (Nicole); Elizabeth (Jimmy) Noel, Harrietsfield, and their children Lindsay and Tracy; Patricia (Yvan) Tremblay, Sydney, and their children Christopher, Sarah and Kathleen; Diane (Barry) Vaters, Port Hawkesbury, and their children Jeremy and Jason; sons, Allan (Doreen), Truro, and their children Joel and Dustin; Michael (Karen), Glace Bay, and their children Steven and Kevin. Along with the 16 grandchildren, Mother is survived by three great-grandchildren, James and Elizabeth Noel-O’Leary and Patrick Hanley. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Poirier, Annie Martha ‘Tootsie’ VanVolsen and brother Roderick ‘Bobby’, all of Inverness.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful staff of MacGillivray Guest Home and also the Sisters of CND-2 who were very accommodating so we could all be close to Mother. We are grateful for the tender care and love given to our mother over these past years and for the kindness and compassion shown to us especially during these past weeks. We would also like the thank Fr. Michael Rankin for providing Mother the opportunity to attend daily mass, and for his many visits and blessings.
