At the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Friday, February 8, 2013 of Gordon Anderson MacDonald, O'Leary, formerly of West Point, aged 85, husband of the late Joan Deighan. Born in West Point April 15, 1927, son of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Bulger) MacDonald. Dear father to Dean (Anna), Summerside; Danny (Karen), Ottawa; Mary (Wayne) Clark, Charlottetown; Joseph, Charlottetown; Jerome (Andrea), Fredericton. Loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren. Gordon is also survived by brothers and sisters Tryphosa Carruthers, O'Leary; Linwood (Audrey) MacDonald, West Point; Geraldine (Mel) Sampson, Sydney, NS; Gertrude Gay, Ottawa; Lorraine (Leroy) Glenn, Tatamagouche, NS; Tanya (Michael) DesRoches, Summerside and sister in law Thelma MacDonald, O'Leary. Predeceased by his parents, wife Joan (1976), son David (1999), sister Daisy (Harry) Young, brother Owen MacDonald, brothers in law Gordon Gay and Allison Carruthers.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Tuesday February 12th from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service Wednesday February 13th at 10:30 in the Chapel. Interment to follow at a later date in the Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Glenwood.
