The family of Gertrude Irene (MacBean) Munn sadly announce her passing at the wonderful age of 98 years on Feb. 10, 2013.
Irene was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Bertha (Everett) MacBean; an infant brother, John; her husband of over 60 years, Rev. Milton C. Munn; her eldest daughter, Judith Munn Thorne and her sister-in-law, Jeanne MacBean.
With great love, respect and honour, her memory is fondly embraced by her daughters, Joanna Munn Tonet of Halifax and Gwen Munn Bruce (Gary) of Fredericton as well as her brothers, Ernest MacBean and Douglas MacBean (Lorna) and their families. Also remembering “Meme” are her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. They were the lights of her life.
A quiet service honouring her life will be held at McAdams Funeral Chapel in Fredericton on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 11 a.m.
A debt of gratitude does out to the “family staff” at Pine Grove nursing home who truly live their mission statement and added such quality and dignity to the final eight months of Irene’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family are asking that a donation be made to the Pine Grove Foundation Inc., 521 Woodstock Rd., Fredericton, N.B., E3B 2J2 or a charity of choice.
