ALBERT DREVLO

ALBERT DREVLO

Born: November 17th, 1929

Passed on: February 11th, 2013

Edmund, 83, of Kamloops, BC, beloved husband and best friend of Marjorie Drevlo for 13 years, entered into eternal peace on February 11, 2013.

Also mourning the loss of Edmund are his step-children Sylvia (Raymond) Polednik, and Ron Wojak; and step-grandchildren Kyle and Jordan Polednik, and Adam and Nathan Wojak, all of whom he loved very much. He also leaves sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Emilie (John) Follweiter, Carol (Al) Morgenthaler, Joyce (Harry) Nugent, and David (Marlene) Lange, and several cousins.

Edmund was predeceased by his father Albert in 1964, his Mother Emma in 1983, his Aunt Meta in 1998 who was like a sister to him, aunts and uncles, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Henry (Ellen) Lange, and several cousins.

Edmund's life began in Poland in 1929. While still in his mother's womb, his German parents left Gdansk, Poland on July 26, 1929 and set sail for Canada on the S.S. Metagama. They arrived in Quebec on August 10, 1929, and from there travelled by train directly to Kamloops where they remained.

Edmund was born in Kamloops at the Royal Inland Hospital on November 17, 1929. He was an only child and was very close to his parents. He worked closely with his father beginning when he was only eight years, old building apple boxes. Edmund and his father later bought rental properties and built the Fortune Manor in North Kamloops, which Edmund managed for several years before selling it.

When Edmund was 35 years old his father passed away. Afterwards, he worked alone, buying and developing land and building houses which he would sell or rent. He was extremely honest and was known as a man of integrity. He was a kind and gentle soul with a warm and generous heart. Even though he didn't have children of his own, he really understood and knew how to be a father and grandfather.

Edmund touched so many lives
and will be deeply missed.
Until we meet again.
We love you Edmund.

A Celebration of Edmund's Life will be held on Saturday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m., at the Kamloops Alliance Church, 233 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC, with Pastor Larry Boss officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
