Helen Margaret Lawlor
Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, of Mrs. Helen M. Lawlor (nee Johnston) of Charlottetown, age 101 years.
Helen was the last surviving member of the James J. and Mary (Dorsey) Johnston family. Beloved wife of the late Walter Lawlor, and dear mother of Ann and George Proud, Dave and Barb Lawlor, Ed and Pat Lawlor, Bill and Sharon Lawlor, Mike and Rowena Lawlor. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Mike and Anne Proud, Dave and Cheryl Proud, Geoff and Joanne Proud, Bobbi and Mike White, Mark Lawlor, Cathy and Jamie Reid, Peter and Stephanie Lawlor, Steven and Angela Lawlor, Kelda Lawlor and Yannick Reid, Brad Lawlor and Sophie Simard, Aaron and Heidi Lawlor, Allison Lawlor, Perry Lawlor, Jamie Lawlor; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Eileen Nugent, Ray Johnston, Mary DeWolf, James Johnston, Brinsley Johnston, Jack Johnston, Olive Carruthers and Gerald Johnston.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday, then transferred to St. Dunstan's Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
